Vape hardware sourcing, answered without the sales fog
Last updated By Edward, Export sales
These are the questions that actually arrive by email, answered with the numbers we would put in a quotation: minimum order, lead time, what a private-label order changes, which documents ship, and who registers the product. If your question is not here, ask it — a sales engineer answers, not a template.
Ordering and minimums
What is the minimum order quantity?
One carton per flavour for stocked models, and 3,000 units per model for a private-label run with your logo, colourway and packaging. Carton quantities differ by model — 400 units for Stratovape-001, 300 for Stratovape-019, 200 for Stratovape-068 — and are stated on each product page. Mixed-flavour cartons are possible once a model is in production for you.
How long does a private-label order take?
Twenty to twenty-five working days after artwork approval and deposit for a logo and packaging run on an existing model. A new shell, a new colourway match or a custom flavour adds two to three weeks for tooling and first-article approval. We confirm the ship date in the proforma invoice, not in the conversation.
Can you put my brand on the device, the box and the manual?
Yes — that is what the OEM line is for. Logo on the body, printed or wrapped; your artwork on the carton, display box and leaflet; your flavour names; your warning text in your market's language. We do not print a third-party trademark without a signed authorisation letter, and we do not ship a device that carries a brand we cannot document.
What is the difference between OEM and ODM here?
OEM means our existing model with your branding: fastest route, lowest tooling cost, 20 to 25 working days. ODM means a change to the hardware itself — a different mouthpiece, a new shell, a modified airflow path, a different coil resistance — which needs a mould and a first-article sign-off, typically 6 to 10 weeks. Both are quoted with the tooling cost stated separately so you can compare them.
Which certifications and test reports come with the devices?
CE and RoHS declarations for the hardware, REACH and RoHS material reports for the wetted plastics, an MSDS for the e-liquid, and a battery UN38.3 transport report for every model that ships with a cell. On request we add TPD emissions and toxicological data for the 2 mL line, and GPSR documentation for EU listings.
Compliance and documents
Who is responsible for registering the product in my market?
The brand owner, not the factory. Registration, notification, advertising rules and tax obligations sit with the entity that puts its name on the device. We supply the technical file — emissions data, material declarations, artwork, battery reports — that your registration depends on, and we will not ship a market-specific SKU until you confirm the registration is in place.
How do you measure the puff count you print on the box?
On a puff machine at a fixed draw — typically 55 mL over 3 seconds on a 10-second cycle — run to the point where vapour output drops below the threshold. It is a laboratory figure under stated conditions, not a promise about how an individual user will draw. We will send the test method with the sample so your own lab can reproduce it.
What nicotine strengths can you fill?
0%, 2% and 5% (0, 20 and 50 mg/mL) from stock, and any strength between them within the legal limit of the destination market. The 2 mL TPD line is filled at 20 mg/mL because that is the ceiling in the EU and UK. Nicotine is sourced with a certificate of analysis per batch, and the strength on the label is the strength in the tank.
Do you supply the e-liquid, or do I?
Either. Most OEM customers take our house e-liquid because the flavour library is already tooled and the MSDS exists. If you supply your own, we fill against your specification and your MSDS, and we ask for a 5 L sample to run a fill trial before the production batch. We do not reverse-engineer a competitor's formula.
Can I order samples before committing to production?
Yes. Stock models ship as samples within 3 to 5 working days, and the sample cost is credited against your first production order. For a private-label sample we produce a branding proof on a stock device first, so you approve the artwork before any tooling is cut.
Product and technical
Which markets do you ship to, and what are the terms?
We ship worldwide from Shanghai, with the UK, EU, Gulf, Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America as the main destinations. Standard terms are FOB Shanghai; CIF and DDP are quoted on request. Payment is 30% deposit with the balance against the bill of lading, or an irrevocable L/C at sight for larger orders.
How is the goods packed, and how many fit in a container?
Each device is in a sealed carton with a batch code and a nicotine warning in the destination language, then in a display box, then in an export carton. Carton counts are 400 for Stratovape-001, 300 for Stratovape-019 and 200 for Stratovape-068; a 40HQ holds roughly 700 to 1,100 cartons depending on model and display packaging. We send a loading plan with the shipping documents.
What happens if units arrive faulty?
Report the batch code and a photograph of the fault within 30 days of arrival. Confirmed defects are replaced in the next shipment or credited, at your choice. Our in-line QC covers air-tightness, draw resistance, battery voltage and leak testing, and the record for your batch is available on request — that record is the reason we ask for the batch code.
Is there a child-resistant option?
Yes. Child-resistant cartons and tamper-evident seals are standard options on the 2 mL line, and a physical child lock is fitted to the PULSE X device. Tell us the market at quotation stage, because the lock or the carton changes the tooling and the unit price.
Can the device be rechargeable instead of single-use?
Yes — Stratovape-018H, W02-600 and the whole screen line are USB-C rechargeable. If your market is moving against single-use disposables, the rechargeable pod format is the one to quote; if it still allows single-use, the sealed models are cheaper per unit and have no charge-port failure mode.
Trade terms and support
Do you offer flavour development?
Yes, on a paid sample basis. Send the profile you want — a reference product, a description, or a competitor's flavour you want matched in character but not copied — and we return three iterations within about three weeks. Once approved, the flavour stays exclusive to you for twelve months.
What is the lead time on repeat orders?
Fifteen to twenty working days for a repeat of an approved SKU, because artwork and first-article approval are already done. Repeat orders can be split into monthly releases against a single blanket PO if you need to hold stock without holding it in your own warehouse.
Do you sell to consumers or only to businesses?
Only to businesses: brand owners, distributors, importers and retail chains. There is no retail checkout on this site and no single-unit sales. Every enquiry is checked for a verifiable trading entity before a quotation is issued, and we do not ship to individuals.
What age restriction applies to these products?
Nicotine products are for adults only, and the minimum age is set by the destination market — 18 in most of Europe, 21 in the United States. Our packaging carries the warning required by the destination market, and we expect the brand owner to run age verification at the point of sale. We do not supply any product, sample or image for use in marketing to minors.
